Image Resizer: Change Photo Width and Height

Set a new width and height in pixels and resize your image without leaving the page.

Runs in your browser — files never leave this device.

How to use

  1. Add your image by dropping it on the page or choosing it from your device.
  2. Open the Resize section and type a new width or height. With the lock turned on, the other value updates to keep the original proportions.
  3. Click Apply, check the new dimensions shown in the top bar, then download the image.

The Resize section shows the current width and height of the loaded image in pixels. When you edit one value while the lock icon is active, the other value is recalculated from the original aspect ratio, rounded to a whole pixel. Click the lock to turn it off if you want to enter both values independently and change the proportions.

The image is redrawn at the new size on a canvas using the browser's high quality smoothing setting. For JPEG and WebP files, the result is encoded at 90% quality; the original file type is kept at this step. Enlarging an image makes it bigger but cannot add detail that was not in the original, so very large upscales will look soft.

Every applied change is stored in a history. The undo and redo buttons in the top bar step through it, so you can compare sizes or go back after a mistake. The current pixel dimensions are always shown next to the file name.

You can load several images at once. They show up as thumbnails below the editor, and you can switch between them and resize each one separately. The Download All (ZIP) button packs every file you loaded into a single archive.

All of this runs locally in your browser. The image is not uploaded to resize it.

FAQ

Can I keep the same proportions?

Yes. The lock next to the width and height fields keeps the aspect ratio. Change one value and the other follows.

Can I resize to a size that does not match the original proportions?

Yes. Turn off the lock and type both values. The image will be stretched or squeezed to fit exactly.

Will making an image larger improve its quality?

No. Enlarging only stretches the existing pixels with smoothing, so it does not add new detail.

Can I undo a resize?

Yes. Use the undo button in the top bar to go back to the previous version, and redo to return.

Is the image sent to a server?

No. Resizing is done in your browser and the file stays on your device.
