How to use
- Open the Splitter tab for equal tiles, or the Icon Grid tab for sprite and icon sheets, and upload your image.
- In Splitter, choose rows and columns (1 to 10 each) and the output format. In Icon Grid, pick Auto, Grid or Cell Size mode.
- Click the split button, review the pieces in the preview, and download them as a ZIP file.
The Splitter divides an image into an even grid. You choose the number of rows and columns, from 1 to 10 each, and a grid overlay on the preview shows where the cuts will fall. You can save the pieces as PNG or JPG. Download all puts them in a ZIP file with the pieces named piece_1, piece_2 and so on, in reading order from left to right and top to bottom.
The Icon Grid tool is for sheets that hold many small images. It has three modes. Auto detects the icons for you. If the image has a transparent background it uses transparency, and if not it samples the background color from the corners. It then finds the separate shapes and works out rows and columns, including sheets where rows have different numbers of icons. If you know how many icons there are, you can enter the expected count to help it. Grid mode splits evenly by a number of rows and columns (1 to 50), and Cell Size mode splits by a tile width and height in pixels (1 to 4000). In the uniform modes you can shift the grid to line it up with the artwork.
Icon Grid exports PNG or JPG, lets you download a single icon or all of them as icon_grid_split.zip, and names files by position, such as icon_r1c1.png. If auto detection fails, the tool shows a message suggesting the Grid or Cell Size mode.
All splitting is done on a canvas in your browser. Your images are not uploaded.
