How to use
- Type or paste your text into the main text box.
- Open the Generate tab and look at the Character Limit Presets for your current length.
- Edit your text until the badge shows a check mark, or use the lorem ipsum generator to add placeholder text.
The Generate tab has two sections. The first checks the length of your text against three presets: Twitter / X at 280 characters, SMS at 160 characters and Meta Description at 160 characters. For each one it shows your current length, the limit, and a check mark when you are within it. If you are over, it shows a cross and how many characters you need to cut.
The count is the number of characters in the text box, including spaces and line breaks. Some characters, such as certain emoji, may be counted as more than one, and the real rules of a platform or carrier can differ, for example for links or non-Latin SMS text. Treat the presets as a quick guide and check the destination's own rules for anything critical.
The second section is a lorem ipsum generator. Choose words, sentences or paragraphs, set a count from 1 to 100, and click Insert. The generated text is added to the end of whatever is already in the box, separated by a blank line when the box already contains text. Words and sentences repeat a fixed list of lorem ipsum words, so the output is predictable rather than random. This is useful for testing how a layout or a field handles long text.
