How to use
- Paste your text into the text box.
- Click an action: Remove Duplicates, Sort Lines, Clean Spaces or Remove Line Breaks, or use Find and Replace.
- Check the result in the box, apply further actions if needed, then copy the text.
The text cleaner applies simple, predictable edits to the text in the box. Each action replaces the content with the cleaned version, so you can chain several actions one after another.
Remove Duplicates treats every line as an item and keeps only the first occurrence of each exact line. Lines are compared exactly, so two lines that differ in capitalisation or in a trailing space are treated as different.
Sort Lines orders the lines alphabetically using your browser's locale-aware comparison. This is handy for lists of names, keywords or items that you paste one per line.
Clean Spaces turns every run of spaces and tabs into a single space and removes spaces at the start and end of the whole text. Line breaks are left in place.
Remove Line Breaks replaces each line break, or group of consecutive line breaks, with a single space. Use it to turn text copied from a PDF or an email, where each line was wrapped, back into one flowing paragraph.
Find and Replace swaps every occurrence of the text you type in the Find box for the text in the Replace box. The match is exact and case sensitive, and it treats your input as plain text rather than a pattern. Leave the Replace box empty to delete the matches. The button is disabled until something is entered in the Find box.
All actions run in your browser. Your text is not uploaded.
FAQ
Does Remove Duplicates ignore capitalisation?
No. Lines must match exactly, including capitalisation and spaces, to be treated as duplicates. The first occurrence is kept.
Will Clean Spaces remove blank lines?
No. It collapses runs of spaces and tabs and trims the ends of the text, but line breaks stay as they are. Use Remove Line Breaks to join lines.
Is Find and Replace case sensitive?
Yes. It replaces exact matches only, and the Find text is treated as plain text, not as a regular expression.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Every action is performed in your browser.
